At Take the Stars, we use a real time time system. And since no one really knows how long these dinosaurs and creatures may have lived, we're just going to make it up.
A year in the roleplay lasts for 365 days of real time. The seasons change according to the real year's seasons.
Counting Years To count years here, we use a funky little system. The years are marked by the earthquake and the opening of the caverns that leads to Tethys. The year after this event, the starting year in roleplay, is written as 1 AQ, year one after the earthquake. Note we don't start on zero. To indicate a year before the quake, we use a negative sign and the suffix PQ, pre earthquake. One year before the roleplay starts would be written as -1 PQ. The roleplay starts in the year 1 AQ.
2012 will correlate with 2 AQ. 2011 correlates with 1 AQ. 2010 correlates with -1 PQ. 2009 correlates with -2 PQ. And so on.
Mating Season Mating can occur during any season, and so does hatching and birthing. Mating can only occur between a pair in which both characters are sexually mature. Refer to the species lists for maturity ages.
