The deep tropical blue of the vast expanse of water was the typical Cretassia sight, nothing out of the ordinary, water was everywhere. The scene, however, was particularly monotonous to a particular creature that cruised along with ease. Moving in shark-like fashion, Paleogo glided through the ocean, belly empty, but hungry for adventure. There was nothing too particularly interesting in reach, it seemed as if there was nowhere else to go, nothing else to do. Everything got sort of repetitive after a while. And this was not a satisfying thing. It wasn't that he was looking for some drama, but just some quiet excitement. Was that really too much to ask for? Paleogo snorted slightly and watched as bubbles rose to the surface. With a swish of his tail and a movement of his body, he followed the air all the way to the surface. He poked his smooth snout out of the water and inhaled a deep breath of air. In the distance, he could make out the mainland and its closer island counterparts. Oh how interesting it would be if he could just crawl up onto the shore and explore the world. Knowing his body was simply too adept for ocean, he quickly dismissed the want and dove his sleek head back down into the water. Bubbles blurred past him as he moved downward, circling for a moment, then scanning the big blue before him. As he looked downward, upward, to the side, all around, a sudden surge of loneliness invaded his body. His jaws opened for a moment as he tread the warm, ocean waters, and then he quickly launched into the swimming routine. It had been a long time since he had last talked to someone. In fact, he couldn't exactly remember when it was he had talked to someone. Or seen someone. Why does the ocean seem so empty when you're feeling lonely? Paleogo slowed to a halt when his eyes fell upon a dark shadow, a silhouette of some creature. His eyes fixated on the silhouette for a brief moment before he edged closer to the thing, whatever it may be. He watched as moved along, swimming leisurely, and slowly he realized that the thing was swimming in the opposite direction of him. His never was gone in a moment, and he remained stagnant. Oh well, he thought. Giving up in the matters of socialization, the ichthyosaur turned once again to the surface and ascended upward. Breaking the surface, he saw nothing insight. He let out a sigh, and sank back below the ocean. Well. This was going to be a boring day.
